Welcome to the Bel Air Terrapins youth football program website.

Founded in 1962, the program is dedicated to the growth and enrichment of our players, coaches and volunteers.  Each season, nearly 600 players and hundreds of adult volunteers come together to participate in and learn the game of football in a wholesome, safe, structured and fun environment.  Bel Air Youth Football offers several levels of competition and emphasizes safety, understanding and awareness.  Bel Air Youth Football is governed by a board of directors made up of volunteers, parents and coaches.

Bel Air Youth Football is a Bel Air Parks & Recreation sponsored program and a proud member of the Upper Cheasapeake Youth Football League.

Open Call for Managers/Assistants and Committee Members

As you all know, it takes a lot of volunteers to help make each Terps Season a success! We are seeking volunteers to help manage the day to day business of our program.

The following are positions that the Chairman and Vice Chairmen have identified as positions they feel would be beneficial to the program:

Managers/Assistants:  

 Concession Managers (3)

 Merchandise Manager

 VC-Coaches Assistant

 Facilities Assistant

 Equipment Assistant

 Communications Assistant

Committees:

 Fund Raising Committee (3)

 Events Committee (3)

 Trophy Committee

 By-Laws Committee (2 BOD members)

With that being said, these committees and managers are subject to BOD approval and these positions are not recognized as voting BOD members. You will coordinate with the BOD in the area you would like to volunteer your time. Please email comm@belairfootball.org and state the position you would like to offer support. BOD Open Meeting

The Board of Directors will be holding their Open Meeting at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 31st at the McFaul Center. During this meeting the Board of Directors and new coaches for the Terps 2012 season will be introduced. This is a great opportunity for parent questions/concerns. All are invited to attend!

Returning Player Registration

Returning player registration opens at 8:00 am February 1st and closes at 6:00 pm on February 13th.  All returning players need to be pre-registered and payment in full made during this period.  Any registration not paid in full will be added to the Did Not Pay (DNP) list and that spot opened for the next player on the list during the Open Registraton. 

Registration for the 2012 season will cost $200.00 per participant and includes 2 jerseys and integrated (pad in) pants.  The program will utilize PayPal as our credit/debit card processor.  You are not required to have a PayPal account to use the payment system. 

To complete your registration and make a payment, log into your family account and follow the instructions at the bottom of your account information screen.  Only players that have the PayPal link in their Family Accounts are permitted to complete their registrations and make payment.

Open Registration begins at 8:00 am on February 14th.

Glazier Coaching Clinic

The Glazier Coaching Clinic returns again to Baltimore February 3-5 at the Hyatt in Baltimore.  This clinic is free to youth coaches and is jam packed with in-depth football knowledge.  Coaches from U Md, U Del, Ole Miss, Villanova, North Carolina and many others will have seminars.  This is three days of very detailed coaching instruction and we recommend that anyone interested in coaching football attend.

Coaching Applications 2012 Season

The Bel Air Terps are accepting applications for both Head and Assistant Coaches for the 2012 season. 

Starting with the 2011 season Bel Air Parks and Rec instituted a mandatory background check for all coaches across all BAP&R activities.  P&R pays for the check and once completed is good for two years for all BAP&R activities.
